There are a few ways to give to Ocean Ana Rising, Inc./OAR!

By pledging support, you will be instrumental in funding initiatives that co-create social change in our intersecting communities through arts and culture! 

Currently, we are actively fundraising for the F!RE!! Play Lab, an OAR program in partnership with Howard University’s Theatre Arts department. The F!RE!! Play Lab is part of a networked initiative with the Black Theater Mechanics in partnership with MoCADA through the generous support of The Black Seed Fund. The F!RE!! Play Lab shines the spotlight on queer story-telling because we are working toward a radically inclusive world where difference is celebrated.

Our funding through the Black Seed is just a beginning to get us started. All seeds need light, water, and fertile ground to grow. Your contributions to OAR will support the full blossoming of the F!RE!! Play Lab into a dynamic and engaging theatre laboratory for exciting queer voices in theatre which will foster urgently necessary connection and dialogue while training young emerging theatre practitioners with hands-on work experience.

Donate to the F!RE!! Play Lab

The Lab is an exciting opportunity for Black queer voices in theatre to develop new and engaging work while also training young theatre professionals in the field and creating an ecology among Black theatre professionals and HBCUs that shifts the playing field in necessary ways.

Create Your Own Fundraiser

Log onto Facebook and click “fundraisers” in the left menu of your News Feed (below Explore). Click Raise Money, and then select “Ocean Ana Rising, Inc” as your non-profit/charity. Choose a cover photo, fill in your reasons for creating the fundraiser, click create, and share!
